Hop aboard the Royal Gorge Route Railroad in
Canon City
for the most scenic 2 hour, 24 mile trip through the Royal Gorge.
This railroad offers more classes of service than any other railroad in Colorado. Take a ride on vintage rail cars including vista dome cars, coach or choose to ride in the cab with the engineer.
This is the only train in Colorado that offers a gourmet lunch service.
The train makes several stops along the way, allowing you to take in the scenery.

These 6 hour scenic train rides runs from Antonito, Colorado to Chama, New Mexico or vice-versa with a lunch stop at Osier, CO.

We highly recommend taking either the Motorcoach to Chama and riding the train back or taking the Chama to Osier Roundtrip. You'll find a wonderful all you can eat country cooking menu at Osier with options such as Meatloaf or Turkey and Dressing. Meals include Salad and Desert Bar.
Be sure to book your Cumbres Toltec Scenic Railroad trip early as tickets go fast.
The Fall Foliage Trains are a popular option and pretty reasonably priced. If you have young ones, try to Cinder Bear Express Colorado Train rides. The kids will be delighted with all the Christmas cheer on this shorter 2 1/2 hour train ride.

Rio Grande Colorado Ski Train
I'm sad to say that the Rio Grande Colorado Ski Train that operated for 69 years from Denver's Union Station to Winter Park is no longer in operation as of March 2009.
