Bring Fido to Royal Gorge Bridge and Park
The park is SUPER dog friendly! Canines are allowed in all areas of the park except on the Aerial Tram, Incline Railway and the Royal Rush Skycoaster. The park has four(4) really nice large dog kennels that you can use free of charge. Be sure to bring a water bowl, a water spigot is located next to the kennels. Don't forget to bring your drivers license as it will be necessary to kennel your pet. Other than that, bring 'em along - they will have a blast!
The Colorado Royal Gorge Bridge
The Colorado Royal Gorge Bridge towers more than 1,000ft above the raging Arkansas River below. The bridge is touted as the highest suspension bridge in the world. Built in 1929 the bridge spans almost a 1/4 mile.
While you can drive the bridge, we highly suggest that you walk it at least once. The views show more than words can ever describe.

Aerial Tram
The views of the Gorge from the Aerial Tram are amazing. Pick a time when there are few passengers and your in for a real treat. The fewer the passengers the better the opportunity to catch the 360 degree views everyone raves about.
Royal Gorge Park Incline Railway
This is the best way to gain access to the bottom of the Gorge. The Incline Railway transports you down a steep incline to the Arkansas Rivers edge. You can get those once of a lifetime close up photos and watch the rafters as they pass by. If your lucky the train will be blowing through while your there.Don't forget to look up for a totally different perspective on the Royal Gorge Bridge and Aerial Tram.
Royal Rush Skycoaster
If your in search of the ultimate rush, the Royal Rush Skycoaster is sure to meet everyone's expectations. You'll be winched to the top of a launch tower and then dropped to swing from a cable tether at 1200 feet above the River. Up to 3 people can ride the skycoaster at a time. This is the perfect activity for the daring family.
Royal Gorge Old West Town
On the South side of the park is an Old West Town setup. You'll find gift shops, a gem shop that let's kids pan for gold and more. There are a ton of places to take family photos at places like the Jail House. We spent at least an hour exploring this little Old West Town and browsing the gift shops. Click here for some photos from our recent trip.
