At Pine River Lodge on the shores of Lake Vallecito we found hosts that truly enjoy and have a passion for accommodating people. The people were super friendly and the views were amazing.
Arrival and Check-In at Pine River Lodge
We had arrived a bit earlier than the usual 4:30 check in. To our amazement they were ready to quickly get us settled in. From the time we arrived till the time we checked out. The owners of of the lodge made sure we knew this was our home away from home. They offer a full range of cozy lake cabins that accommodate families from 2-11. They also offer Pet Friendly Cabins for those wishing to bring their dogs as we did. We stayed in charming Cabin #15 with a great view of the Lake. This stunning cabin was full of everything from home. *Full Kitchen - Refrigerator/Freezer, Microwave, Oven/Stove and necessary linens. *Bedroom with Queen Bed and fresh linens *Plenty of Closet Space *Full Bath/Shower with all the necessary linens *Air Conditioning and Heating Unit *Small Dining Area off the Kitchen *Living Room with Sofa Bed (fresh linens), TV with Basic Satellite and Fireplace *Charcoal Barbeque Grill

Personal Service - It's Like Having Your Own Travel Guide
Being that we had arrived during the peek of winter season our safety was their #1 priority. After checking in, we had ventured the idea of checking out a town about an hour away. The owners were quick to explain the hazards of traveling this area during the late night hours. They instead suggested another destination about a quarter of the distance for this night.The Owners were overflowing with pointers, tips and information regarding the area. The kind of stuff only really known to the locals. With their help we were able to explore areas we would have never known to check out. All in all we had a wonderful stay at Lake Vallecito thanks to Pine River Lodge. Many thanks to the Owners for a stay at one of the best cabins in Colorado. We look forward to future visits.
