Pikes Peak Highway (Tollroad)
Getting to the Highway
Pikes Peak Highway provides one of the most exhilarating mountain drives in Colorado. Stopping at the roadside pull-outs provides a great opportunity for some awe inspiring family photos. From Manitou Springs - Take Hwy 24 West approx 4.3 miles to Cascade
- Turn Left at Fountain Avenue, go approx 1/2 mile
- Take slight Left onto the Pikes Peak Tollroad

Reaching the Summit
The toll road is 19 miles and climbs more than 7,000' in elevation. You'll drive paved road for the first 10 miles and well maintained all weather gravel for the last 9 miles.
The highway offers plenty of roadside scenic pull-offs for some great photo opportunities. Be sure to stop at mile marker 5 for a great view of the peak.
