Plan about 3 hours for the Round trip.
We lucked out on this trip to Pikes Peak. There weren't many clouds below the summit so we were able to catch some great views.
It's extremely windy and colder but it's amazingly beautiful looking down.
Crystal Reservoir was definitely our favorite stop along the way. We spent about 2 hours walking around, letting the dogs play (by the way dogs are not allowed to swim in the reservoirs) and stopping by the gift shop.
Colorado Fishing is available from May until September at the Reservoir. Don't forget to grab a fishing license for anyone in the family over 15.

The Crystal Reservoir Gift Shop is the first of 3 along the Pikes Peak Highway.
The family attraction known as "Crystal Reservoir" offers a smaller gift/souvenir shop, but it's the biggest on activities offered.
Hiking and Biking trails are abundant, the kids can pan for gold just outside the gift shop. If you love to fish and have a fishing pole, finding a place to put in is a snap.
