Pikes Peak Cog Railway
Scenic Train Rides to the Summit
The Colorado train known as "Pikes Peak Cog Railway" is a scenic passenger train with a very unique destination, the summit of Pikes Peak Mountain. Just in front of the Summit House & Gift Shop is the final destination for this fabulous ride.
While the ride via the Cog Railway may not be the most comfortable it does offer a very unique look at this famous mountain. We highly suggest if you have the time to drive Pikes Peak Highway and Ride the Cog.
Time to Allot: 3 1/2 Hours
Rates: $33.00 per Adult / $18 Ages 3-12
Train Hours: 9:20 a.m. & 1:20 p.m. (verify hours when making reservations)
Pet Friendly: No
Additional Information:
No outside food is allowed on the Pikes Peak Cog Railway and your time will be limited at the Summit. With extremely long lines and a crowded gift shop you may have just enough time to grab one of those Pikes Peak Summit Donuts.
You can purchase a box lunch at the Cog Wheel Cafe that can be taking aboard the train. If you plan to go the route of the box lunch it generally includes a sandwich or burger, chips or fries and a drink. The box lunches can be quite expense. If your saving pennies for souvenirs it's probably a good idea to grab a bite to eat while in Manitou Springs.

Manitou Springs Colorado With the train ride only about 3-3 1/2 hours, you'll hopefully plan to spend a little time in the charming small town of Manitou Springs.
