South Rim - Open Year Round (road closed past Gunnison Point in Winter) North Rim - Open mid April to the beginning of November

There are some areas of the park where driving is restricted to vehicles less than 22 feet. If your looking to have lunch at the park there are picnic tables located in several locations on the South Rim. Be sure to stop by the Visitor Center located on the South Rim for informative exhibits

The Great Sand Dunes National Park tops our list of National Parks to visit. It's a GIANT sand box for all ages. This is definitely a great way to spend an entire fun filled day with your family.
