Affordable Winter Fun at Kendall Mountain Ski Area

Summit 13,274'

Average Snowfall 200 inches

Kendall Mountain is one the best family ski resorts for beginner terrain. Located in Silverton, the mountain provides tons of fun for the entire family.

They have a high emphasis on beginner and intermediate skiers. I have yet to perfect the art of skiing. This makes Kendall one of the perfect ski areas in Colorado for our family.

They offer snowboarding and skiing Fridays through Sundays and Holidays, weather permitting. Lift tickets average $15

While your there checkout some of the other great things they have to offer

Sledding Hills - you can rent sleds and tubes for around $5. Flinging yourself down 1 of their 2 sledding/tubing hills is tremendous fun. This has to be one of the most exhilarating things I have ever done!

Snowshoeing for $10

Snowmobile Trails - check out one of the local outfitters for rentals and guided rides

Cross Country Skiing - don't worry to much about gear. You can rent everything you need at the Lodge

Ice Skating Rink - you can get skate rentals for around $5 and skating is free. The kids seem especially drawn to this sport. Me personally, I enjoy the challenge of trying to stay on my feet more than my hind end.

Lodge - They have a great place to warm up, rent equipment, grab a snack and checkout the fantastic mountain views.

Rent Ski and Boot Gear for around $20

Ski and Snowboard Lessons - both group and private are available
