Alamosa Colorado
Well known for the Great Sand Dunes National Park. Aspen Colorado
Aspen is a year round resort town located in Northwest Colorado. While you'll find plenty of indoor activities it's the great outdoors that makes Aspen so attractive. Aspen is one of those Colorado cities that you'll want to visit during several different seasons. Enjoy the changing of the leaves in Fall, tons of snow in Winter, whitewater rafting in Spring and hiking and fishing in Summer.

Boulder
Located in the Colorado Front Range. Boulder has a population of about 94,000. The city is filled with a younger generation of outdoor enthusiast.

Breckenridge

On the mountain and off it's easy to find culinary dining pleasures, shopping and lodging that's worth every dime. Numerous activities abound for those interested in exploring that wild side. Hiking, Skiing, Snowmobiling, Horseback Riding, Mountain Biking, Sleigh Rides, Dog Sledding and Whitewater Rafting are all at your whim.
A real must do: Plan one vacation the last week of January to the first week of February for the Annual Budweiser International Snow Sculpture Championships. These sculptures showcasing the talents of the artists are amazing.

Canon City Colorado
Canon City Co is famous for the Royal Gorge Park "Home of Heights and Adventure". This is the most populated city in Freemont County and is located in South Central Colorado.
Canon City is a popular destination for whitewater rafters looking for excitement on the Arkansas River.
Colorado Springs
Located in South Central Colorado. Colorado Springs makes the Top 25 list because of the many attractions and museums it offers. Colorado's second largest city hosts a population of approximately 370,000.
We highly suggest you plan to stay an entire week if your visiting the Colorado Springs area. You'll find several suburbs of Colorado Springs that offer great family friendly activities as well.
Some of the most popular Colorado Springs activities and attractions include the Money Museum (ANA Museum), Garden of the Gods, Peterson Air and Space Museum, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, US Air Force Academy, Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame, Starsmore Discovery Center and the Olympic Training Center.
Cortez
Located in the Colorado South West Region. Cortez is centrally located to the Ute Tribal Park and 3 must see Colorado tourist attractions - Mesa Verde National Monument, Four Corners and Monument Valley. You'll find plenty of lodging including the familiar chain hotels/motels for your stay in the Four Corners region.
Be sure to pay a visit to the Canyons of the Ancients, Cortez Cultural Center and the Crow Canyon Archaeological Center.
Cripple Creek Colorado
More than the sleepy little town that I expected. You'll find everything from Historic Gold Mines to Gambling in the little town of Cripple Creek.
Popular attractions include the Cripple Creek and Victor Railroad, a Jail Museum, Casino's, Mollie Kathleen Mine Tour, Cripple Creek Co District Museum, and the Butte Theater for Play's and Melodrama's.
Denver
Located in Central Colorado. The Mile High City is not only the largest city in the state but it's also home to the Colorado State Capitol and the US Mint, Denver.
I like to think of Denver, Colorado as the Art Mecca of Colorado. You'll find plenty of Galleries and Museums displaying huge collections of Local and International Art. Grab dinner and a show at the Denver Performing Arts Center.
Denver is a great city for kids with the attractions like the Butterfly Pavillon, Downtown Aquarium, Childrens Museum and more.

Durango Colorado
A Winter vacation to Durango isn't complete until you visit Purgatory (Durango's Mountain Resort) aka DMR for skiing, snowboarding and ski biking.
Riding aboard the Durango Silverton Railroad is a year round must for every family interested in the beautiful scenic back country of the San Juan Mountains.
Other great family friendly activities include nearby Vallecito Lake, soaring through the trees on a zip line, shopping and walking Historic Downtown, enjoying an old fashioned Chuckwagon Supper and Show.
Manitou Springs
The best way to describe Manitou Springs is "Hoppin". The downtown district boast several natural spring fountains and great opportunities for dining and shopping.
Insider Note: If you show up in downtown Manitou with an RV you might find yourself stressed to the max. The streets are considerably small and parking is laid out more for cars.
Located in South Central Colorado. This city of less than 5,000 offers some great family friendly things to do including a fantastic Penny Arcade. Talk about a step back in time!

I love Pagosa Springs best in winter. Located just a few miles from one of the most affordable ski areas in Colorado. Pagosa Springs is blessed with natural hot springs. The steam rising from the springs during the winter is absolutely beautiful.
Silverton Colorado
Silverton is a small Victorian town located in the Colorado South West Region. The town sits in a beautiful valley completely surrounded by the San Juan mountains.
Silverton is a favorite Colorado vacations destination for skiers, history buffs, gold mine enthusiast, hikers, families looking for tons of activites in a more secluded setting and more.

I love this little town. Located in South Central Colorado, this is one of those Colorado cities that would be a great place to raise a child. The town offers the usual Walmart, Starbucks, fast food places along with several great family owned and operated restaurants.
We found Woodland Park to be centrally located to some great family friendly activities and attractions. Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs, Colorado Springs, Florissant, Eleven Mile State Park and Reservoir, Eleven Mile Federal Park, Mueller State Park, Lake George, Gold Belt Scenic Byway and Cripple Creek are all within an hours drive.
